YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  South to southwest winds gusting 30 to 45 mph will combine with above normal temperatures and dry fuels to produce some potential high grassland fire danger today. All outdoor burning should be avoided.  Severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds may develop in advance of an approaching cold front this afternoon and evening, mainly along and east of Highway 25 in northwest Kansas.  Very strong northerly winds will develop late this afternoon and evening. Sustained winds at 30 to 45 mph and gusts ranging from 55 to 65 mph are expected.  A Blizzard Warning is in effect for most areas along/north of the Interstate after midnight tonight into Monday. A Winter Weather Advisory is also in effect for areas along and south of Highway 40 as well as most areas along/east of Highway 83.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  Blizzard warning remains in effect for most areas along/north of the Interstate Monday. A Winter Weather Advisory also remains in effect for areas along and south of Highway 40 as well as most areas along/east of Highway 83.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
