YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Yuma, Dundy, Hitchcock and Cheyenne KS counties starting early Thursday morning and lasting into Thursday night. Looking for up to 2 inches of snow, especially along Highway 34, along with some light icing with up to 0.04 inches of accumulation.  East/southeast zones could see a few hours of some thunderstorms are sunset Thursday.  The remainder of the area will see an inch or less of snow Thursday into Friday.  Roadways in areas that see precipitation may freeze quickly Thursday evening into Friday morning as temperatures will quickly plummet behind a cold front. Be prepared for slick roadways, especially bridges and overpasses.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
