WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Light snow showers are once again expected in the mountains during the afternoon. Impact from these snow showers should be minimal. Rain, possibly mixed with snow, should develop across the northeast corner of the state late tonight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday  Snow will continue over the higher mountains and spread into the eastern foothills Thursday. The snow will be heavy at times on the east slopes, mainly Thursday night. Storm total accumulations of 6 to 14 inches are possible in these areas. The mountain valleys will have occasional light snow showers with total accumulations of 1 to 4 inches.  Rain and snow showers will increase at lower elevations during the day Thursday, becoming all snow by Thursday evening, then ending Friday. There will likely be a period of moderate to heavy snow near the foothills and south of Denver overnight Thursday night that could impact the Friday morning rush hour. There is also a chance for a period of heavy snow Thursday night in the northeast corner of Colorado. Accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are possible in the areas of heavier snow, with an inch or two likely elsewhere.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
