WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Snow showers will continue off and on in the mountains and higher elevations today. These snow showers will be on lighter side as 1-3 inches of additional accumulation is possible, mainly above 9,000 ft. Consequently, poor travel conditions may still exist across some of the higher mountains passes. Scattered rain and snow showers persist across the I-25 corridor and plains. There may be some minimal accumulations in the grassy surfaces but no snow accumulation on the paved surfaces is expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Widespread mountain snow moves into the western Colorado mountains Monday and into the north central mountains by Monday night. Snow, heavy at times, continues in the mountains Tuesday. The snow combined with gusty winds is expected to produce difficult travel through the mountains on Tuesday. Snow is expected to spread onto the Urban Corridor and eastern plans Tuesday or Tuesday night, possibly creating hazardous travel conditions late Tuesday and Tuesday night. Additionally, winds will strengthen over the weekend and into Monday, and combined with dry conditions, will likely lead to periods of critical fire weather conditions. Widespread gusty winds are expected for Monday with more localized gusty winds on Saturday and Sunday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
