YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Near critical to locally critical fire weather conditions are possible across portions of the area today, mainly south of Interstate 70 where breezy west southwest winds may develop during the afternoon.  A cold front will progress southward through the area after sunset this evening. Breezy north winds will accompany and follow the frontal passage late Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning. Sustained winds ranging from 20 to 30 mph and gusts up to 40 mph are currently expected.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not needed. Please report any wildfires to local dispatch.
