This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... Hazardous weather is not expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY... A deepening low pressure system in Colorado will bring strong south to southwest winds to the majority of the area during the day on Wednesday. Sustained winds ranging from 30 to 45 mph and gusts up to 55 mph are expected. Wind of this magnitude will create hazardous travel conditions, especially on west east routes such as Interstate 70, where cross winds will be strongest. Localized plumes of blowing dust, causing reduced visibilities and poor air quality, are possible during the late morning and afternoon hours, mainly in far western Kansas. Light snow is anticipated this weekend. Confidence is low, but accumulating snowfall is possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed.
