WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...MORE MOUNTAIN SNOW WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY... ...ARCTIC COLD AND MORE SNOW FOR THE WEEKEND...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Gusty winds will continue across the area through this afternoon, with a few wind gusts above 50 mph possible. Areas of elevated fire weather conditions are also expected due to the gusty winds and very dry humidity values.  The next round of snow is expected to develop across the high country this evening and continue through Thursday, with several inches of snow likely over the high mountain passes. Snow and blowing snow will lead to difficult travel conditions at times.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday  Arctic cold and the coldest air of the season by far will spread across the plains and foothills for this weekend. Low temperatures as early as Friday night may drop below zero on the plains, with almost certainty they drop below zero both Saturday night and Sunday night. High temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday may only reach the single digits. Wind chill readings during this period will be dangerously cold, with frostbite potential on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.  Bouts of snow can be expected in the mountains Thursday through the entire weekend, with a round or two of possibly heavy snow Friday night into Saturday night and Sunday. Difficult travel conditions can be expected in the northern Colorado mountains including the I-70 mountain corridor, including the approaches to the Eisenhower/Johnson Tunnels and Vail Pass. Mainly light snow will be possible over the plains from time to time starting Thursday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
