This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Light snow and strong winds will combine to cause continued poor travel conditions across the Palmer Divide south of metro Denver and eastward along I-70 in Elbert and Lincoln Counties. Wind gusts 45-55 mph are expected across Lincoln County through late afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Strong winds are expected in the mountains and foothills Tuesday. Winds decrease a little for Tuesday night and Wednesday, but windy conditions are still expected. The windy conditions spread across the plains for Wednesday. Snow is expected to form over the mountains late Tuesday and then continue through the rest of the week. Snow may briefly end Wednesday, but reforms Wednesday night. An arctic airmass will likely push into Colorado this weekend and into early next week. This is expected to bring the coldest air of the season.
