WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...Winter Storm Watch for the east central Plains from 8 pm this evening through 11 am on Sunday...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  A storm system will move into the region later today and track across eastern Colorado tonight.  This system will bring the potential for heavy snow across the east central plains overnight. In addition, gusty north winds up to 50 mph will develop behind a cold front which will produce areas of blowing snow and poor visibility across portions of the plains and Palmer Divide mainly after midnight.  Elsewhere snow will spread from the mountains across the rest of the area by this evening.  Overall snow accumulations will be light to moderate with the higher amounts over mountains, southern foothills and Palmer Divide.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday  Snow lingering in the eastern plains in the morning, with snow showers possible through Christmas Day in the eastern plains and mountains. Gusty north winds will lead to blowing snow for parts of the plains Sunday into Monday, including eastern portions of the I-76 and I-70 corridors.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
