This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... No hazardous weather is expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY... Scattered light rain showers and perhaps an isolated thunderstorm will develop across the area Saturday. Rain will change to snow in northeast Colorado and adjacent counties in Kansas and Nebraska late Saturday night. Some locally heavy snow is possible across portions of Kit Carson, Yuma, Dundy and Cheyenne county Kansas Saturday night into Sunday morning. Precipitation will change to all snow west to east throughout the day Sunday. Strong northerly winds gusting 45-55 mph are forecasted which would result in blowing snow where snow may be ongoing or has already accumulated resulting in reduced visibilities. Winds will also create difficult driving conditions for holiday travelers and may displace holiday decorations Light snow showers continue on Monday and Tuesday with additional light accumulations.
