...Winter weather returns to Colorado with accumulating snow and colder temperatures... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Snow will continue in the mountains today with scattered snow showers over the plains this morning. Snow will become more widespread over the plains tonight. Snow may be heavy at times, especially later this afternoon and tonight with snowfall rates in excess of one inch per hour possible. Snow accumulations will range from 3 to 6 inches over the plains except higher amounts of 6 to 12 inches over the foothills and adjacent plains around Denver. In the mountains, snowfall totals will be up to 20 inches over the higher mountain passes. Expect winter driving conditions over the mountains and plains by tonight with icy and snowpacked roads. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday A storm system will linger over northern Colorado on Sunday but move out of the area by Sunday night. Snow will end from north to south during the day. Travel impacts will continue Sunday morning but should improve by Sunday afternoon. Drier weather along with moderating temperatures will return for early next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
