Breezy south winds will develop across the majority of the Tri- State area this afternoon. Expect wind speeds ranging from 25 to 35 mph and occasional gusts up to 45 mph. Scattered thunderstorms anticipated to develop in southeastern Colorado this afternoon will track north toward the Interstate 70 corridor late this afternoon and evening. Brief, localized wind gusts up to 65 mph cannot be ruled out in association with any storm, mainly in eastern Colorado and adjacent Kansas border counties between 5 PM and 9 PM MDT. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY... Southerly winds will further strengthen on Sunday and persist through Monday.
