WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Near record high temperatures will occur this afternoon especially over the plains. Those vulnerable to heat should use caution outdoors. Scattered to isolated storms and showers will develop in the mountains this afternoon producing wind gusts up to 50 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday  Temperatures should cool slightly on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing some relief to the heat. Moisture will also gradually increase in this period with showers and thunderstorms becoming more numerous. Cooler and wetter conditions will prevail Friday into the weekend. Some storms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall, especially on Friday and Saturday. As a result, the flash flooding threat over the burn areas and flood prone areas across the plains will slowly increase through the period.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
