WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...HOT AND DRY WEATHER CONTINUES TODAY...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Temperatures will be similar to yesterday over the plains, with near record highs close to 100 degrees. There will be slight cooling with some afternoon clouds and isolated thunderstorms over the mountains. There will be little rain, but some of the storms could produce wind gusts to 50 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday  Temperatures decrease through Friday, putting an end to the heat. Moisture increases during this period, increase coverage and chances of showers and thunderstorms. Storms will be capable of producing localized heavy rainfall, especially by Friday. As a result, the threat for flash flooding over the burn areas and flood prone areas on the plains will gradually increase during this period.   .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
