WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Gusty winds will persist through the day across the northeast plains, with the strongest gusts fo 40 to 50 mph possible eastern Elbert and Lincoln counties today. There will be a chance of light showers or maybe a thunderstorm mainly across South Park, the southern foothills, and the Palmer Divide. No severe weather is expected.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday  Thunderstorm activity this week will be very limited and mainly over the central Colorado mountains. Some increase in thunderstorms is expected in the mountains Friday and onto the plains next weekend. This will bring a gradual increase in the threat of burn area flooding. Above normal temperatures are expected from Tuesday into next weekend, with highs in the low to mid 90s each afternoon.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
