YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A cold front will move southeastward through the area during the day. In the wake of the front, northerly winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Areas of blowing dust are possible, mainly near open or recently harvested fields.  A few thunderstorms cannot be ruled out along and east of Highway 283 this afternoon. At this time, areas situated in central Kansas appear to have the relative greatest potential for severe weather.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
