YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Some patchy dense fog is possible this morning across Northwestern Kansas and Southwestern Nebraska. Stay alert for changing conditions.  Showers and storms are forecasted to spread across the area during the day today. The storms during the morning and early afternoon hours should mostly be sub severe, but large hail can't be ruled out. Storms that form later in the afternoon mainly along and south of I-70 will have a slightly greater chance for severe weather with hail up to golf balls in size and wind gusts up to 75 mph. These storms should move from west to east and exit the area during the evening and early overnight hours.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  A cold front is forecasted to move through the area on Sunday. With the frontal passage, stronger winds from the north with gusts up to 50mph and some patchy blowing dust is possible. Severe storms would be possible if the front moves through the area during the afternoon hours instead of the morning hours. Large hail and damaging wind gusts would be the main threats if the severe weather did occur.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time, though any reports of severe weather are always appreciated.
