YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Significant weather is anticipated late this afternoon into tonight as a line of thunderstorms tracks eastward across the area, mainly between 5 PM MDT (6 PM CDT) and midnight MDT (1 AM CDT). Damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph appear to be the primary severe weather hazard. Isolated instances of quarter to golf ball size hail are possible. Reduced visibilities associated with blowing dust may accompany the leading edge of the thunderstorm outflow. Locally heavy rainfall may lead to isolated flash flooding, especially in low lying areas and locations with poor drainage.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  Severe thunderstorms are possible during the late afternoon and evening hours on both Friday and Saturday. Active, impactful weather may persist through the weekend and early next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  A daily potential for severe weather will persist into the upcoming weekend.
