YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Isolated to scattered strong to potentially severe thunderstorms are forecast to move into western Yuma and Kit Carson counties of Colorado around 10 PM MDT, possibly continuing east into Dundy county and Cheyenne county Kansas around midnight MDT. They are then forecast to continue moving east, primarily north of Interstate 70 through the rest of the night. Isolated thunderstorms are possible south of Interstate 70. The primary hazards will be hail up to size of quarters and wind gusts up to 60 mph through about midnight for locations generally along and west of the Colorado Kansas border.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible Sunday evening for areas generally along and north of Interstate 70 and west of Kansas Highway 25. At this time, the threat for severe weather is low.  Heat index values of 100 to 104 degrees are forecast to return to areas generally east of Kansas Highway 25 Monday afternoon through early evening and again Wednesday afternoon through early evening. Heat advisories may be needed.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
