YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Heat index values as warm as 105 are forecast for Norton and Graham counties in northwest Kansas and Red Willow County in southwest Nebraska this afternoon. The remainder of the area will see heat indices in the upper 90s to lower 100s.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary hazard.  Thunderstorms may develop again Wednesday afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary hazard.  An extended period of hot temperatures are expected across the area through mid week. Heat index values in the 100 to 105 degree range are forecast generally east of Kansas Highway 25 Tuesday through Thursday.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be required.
