WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue this morning over the eastern border areas and mountains. The thunderstorms will become more widespread this afternoon, then diminish this evening. The main threats today will be lightning and wind gusts to around 40 mph. A few stronger storms on the eastern plains could have hail up to golf ball size and wind gusts to 60 mph along with brief heavy rain. There is a low potential for burn area flash flooding this afternoon.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday  Thursday through Saturday will be cooler and more active. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected Thursday afternoon and evening. Storms may become severe across the plains, with damaging wind and hail, along the locally heavy rainfall. Friday and Saturday, isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms are possible. Sunday through Tuesday, much warmer with a slight chance of thunderstorms each afternoon and evening.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
