YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  Slight chance for storms to clip northeastern portions of the area during the overnight hours tonight, generally between 10 PM to 4 AM CDT. If storms do occur, they have potential to be strong to severe with strong wind gusts up to 60 mph and large hail up to 1 inch in diameter.  Smoke aloft from Canadian wildfires may lead to some instances of poor air quality for sensitive groups especially along and near the Kansas/Nebraska state line.  Patchy fog is forecast to develop east of a Benkelman to Tribune line overnight and last through mid morning. Be aware for rapidly changing visibilities if traveling.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Isolated to widely scattered storms are possible across the majority of the area Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. A severe storm is possible with large hail and damaging winds the primary hazards.  Thursday through Friday night will also see chances for thunderstorms with potential for excessive rainfall.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
