This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across portions of the region today and tonight. The area of focus will be locales along and south of a line from Yuma, Colorado southeast to the Russell Springs, Kansas area. Threats from any storms will include large hail, damaging wind gusts and locally heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding. A few isolated tornadoes are even possible, but confined to western portions of Cheyenne and Kit Carson counties in Colorado. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY... There will be afternoon and evening chances for thunderstorms across portions of the Tri State region through next week. The best chance for these will occur in the latter portion of next week.
