YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Rainfall coverage will become more widespread today, creating the potential for flooding concerns for areas mainly south of Interstate 70 and east of Highway 25 in Western Kansas due to the recent rainfall already received. There is a small chance for a strong thunderstorm or two this afternoon, especially along a Wray to Russell Springs line. While you should remain aware of the possibility, chances appear low at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY... There will be a continued risk for flooding from heavy rainfall with storms each day. Locations that have received multiple rounds of heavy rainfall or flash flooding recently should keep a heightened awareness of the weather situation, especially for areas that are already flood prone. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation us not anticipated, but we encourage any rainfall reports you may have.
