This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT... Scattered thunderstorms this morning will be capable of producing large hail. The best chances will be near the Kansas and Nebraska border area through about noon mountain time/ 1 pm central time. Additional thunderstorms may develop later this afternoon and early evening, though confidence is low. Should storms redevelop, they will be capable of producing large hail and damaging winds. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH TUESDAY... There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening west of Highway 25 including all of northeast Colorado, and a marginal risk east of Highway 25. In the slight risk area, large hail and damaging winds will be the main hazards, with perhaps a couple of tornadoes in northeast Colorado. In the marginal risk area, there will be a more isolated risk for large hail and damaging winds. On Thursday, there is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms in the afternoon and early evening east of a line from Benkelman, Nebraska, to Quinter, Kansas. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main hazards, with possibly a tornado.
