WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Showers and thunderstorms will develop across the higher terrain by midday with additional activity developing over the plains through the afternoon. Some of the storms will produce wind gusts from 45 to 55 along with brief heavy rain and small hail. An isolated severe storm is possible over the far northeast plains with wind gusts up to 60 mph possible.  In the burn scars a few storms could prpduce up to one half inch of rain in 30 minutes with a limited threat of flash flooding.   .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Showers and storms will be possible on Friday afternoon and evening mainly across the far northern mountains and foothills and the far northeast plains. This will pose a limited flash flood threat for the recent burn areas. In Logan, Phillips, and Sedgwick Counties, there is a slight chance of severe hail or wind gusts from these storms. Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are expected across the Palmer Divide and the plains to the south of I-70.  Saturday and Sunday there will be weak showers and storms that develop mainly over the higher terrain. The burn area flash flood threat is very low.  Drier weather is expected Monday through Wednesday although a few weak showers and storms can't be completely ruled out. There is a chance of more widespread precipitation at the end of next week.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
