YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  The Tri-State Area may see an isolated thunderstorm this evening. Currently, thunderstorms that occur are not anticipated to become severe. The primary hazard with these thunderstorms will be cloud to ground lightning.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms across northwest Kansas Thursday afternoon and evening. The primary hazards include large hail and damaging winds.  Thunderstorms are also possible during the afternoon and overnight hours Friday through Sunday. At this time, the primary hazard will be cloud to ground lightning.  Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible Saturday afternoon through early evening for locations south of a line from Joes, Colorado to Leoti, Kansas.  Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are possible Sunday afternoon through early evening for locations south of a line from Flagler, Colorado to Colby and Hill City in Kansas. The worst conditions are forecast to be south of Interstate 70.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
