WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. ...WINTER WEATHER RETURNS... .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Snow will become widespread across the mountains through this afternoon and continue through tonight. The heaviest snow will fall late this afternoon and evening, creating slick and hazardous travel conditions in the northern Colorado mountains. In the foothills, I-25 Corridor, and adjacent plains...Rain showers will develop along the Wyoming border area late this afternoon and then spread south and change to snow early to mid evening. Most areas should pick up an inch or two of snow, but narrow bands of heavier snowfall upwards of 4 inches will be possible. Right now those heavier bands would favor the foothills and nearby adjacent plains from Boulder to the north. The eastern plains of Colorado will see an inch or less. Some slush and slick travel conditions will be possible due to the locally heavier snow bands and temperatures dropping into the upper 20s overnight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday Snow showers will continue across the high country through Saturday, with a couple inches of additional snow possible, especially across the Front Range mountains and foothills. Sunday and Monday should be mostly quiet, before another storm system arrives late Monday or early Tuesday. This storm has increasing potential to bring impactful snow accumulations to the higher elevations and widespread rain and possibly snow across portions of the plains, but the exact track of this storm remains uncertain. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. However, any reports of accumulating snowfall will be greatly appreciated.
