WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 ...SNOW CONTINUES THROUGH TONIGHT...  This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight  A storm system will bring snow to the mountains and foothills, with a mix of rain and snow across the plains. Heavier snow is expected in the Front Range mountains and foothills this afternoon with storm totals of 4 to 10 inches possible. The snow will decrease overnight then end Saturday.  The evening commute may experience some impacts along I-70 from west of Denver into the foothills, and along I-25 south of Denver towards Monument where 2 to 5 inches of snowfall will be possible.  Although snow along the rest of the urban corridor and plains is expected to mostly melt on paved surfaces. There could be slushy accumulations this evening, especially grassy surfaces. Slow down and use caution while traveling, and be prepared for quickly changing conditions.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  After isolated light showers end Saturday, drier and warmer weather will return for Sunday and the early part of next week. Fire weather may become a concern again, with Tuesday currently looking like the biggest threat day. Some cooling is expected for Wednesday and Thursday with at least a slight chance of showers.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Snowfall reports will be appreciated.
