WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Dry and windy conditions are expected to develop this afternoon across the plains. This will lead to elevated to critical fire weather conditions for the southern Front Range Foothills, Palmer Divide, and eastern across the plains. Wind gusts 30 to 45 mph are expected over much of the region this afternoon. An isolated high based shower or thunderstorm could produce a brief outflow wind gust to 60 mph across far eastern Colorado, but confidence in this outcome is low. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday The next weather system arrives Friday. Snow is likely in the mountains, with mostly rain across the plains. Rain may mix with and change to snow across the urban corridor late Friday evening and Friday night. Accumulations will generally be light with lots of melting, although heavier snow is possible over the higher mountains and eastern slopes of the Front Range Friday afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be much cooler Friday and Saturday. Drier and warmer weather will return for Sunday and the early part of next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
