YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  No hazardous weather is expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...  A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties in Colorado Monday afternoon. Low humidity and southeast to southwest winds gusting up to 40 mph mph are possible.  Strong southwest winds will develop Tuesday, mainly south of Interstate 70, as a low pressure system moves across the area. Winds will shift to the northwest across the entire area by sunset. A period of dangerous fire weather conditions and patchy blowing dust may occur across the southern portion of the area with the associated strong winds.  Light snow and blowing snow are possible along and north of Highway 34 from Yuma into Red Willow County Tuesday afternoon and evening reducing visibilities.  Wednesday morning will have the potential for record low temperatures and wind chill values a few degrees either side of zero. Near Critical fire weather conditions are possible in the afternoon across Greeley and Wichita counties.  Elevated fire weather conditions are possible south of Interstate 70 Thursday afternoon.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed.
