YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from into tonight for Yuma and Kit Carson counties in Colorado, Dundy and Hitchcock counties in Nebraska, Cheyenne, Rawlins, Sherman, Thomas, and Logan counties in Kansas. Up to 2 to 4 inches accumulation is possible. Elsewhere, light accumulations are possible, tapering east and south. Blowing snow will also be impactful lowering visibilities making traveling hazardous, mainly in the Advisory area where northwest winds could gust up to 40 mph.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  There will be another chance for snow Sunday night into Monday. Light accumulations are currently expected.  Elevated to Near Critical fire weather conditions are possible Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon for those generally along and south of Interstate 70.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation may be required.
