Strong northerly winds gusting up to 55 mph are expected late tonight, continuing through the morning Thursday. The southwest part of the Tri-State Area is the favored location for these strong winds. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY... Strong northwest winds will continue Thursday morning, especially over the southwest part of the Tr-State Area. There will be a chance for light snow Thursday with accumulations currently projected to be under one inch. The combination of the strong winds and any snowfall could produce some localized reductions in visibility due to blowing snow. Locally hazardous travel conditions are possible. Ice may form on highways Thursday morning as temperatures cool and the rain changes to snow. Wind chill readings will fall into the single digits during the early morning hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed.
