Northwest winds gusting 50-55 mph are forecast during the day Tuesday. The strongest gusts are expected generally along and west of Kansas Highway 27. This will make for difficult driving conditions especially for high profile vehicles. A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night for counties along and south of Interstate 70. Accumulating snowfall is likely across the area with the highest amounts along and south of Interstate 70. Blowing and drifting snow can be expected with wind gusts around 40 mph. Hazardous travel conditions can be expected due to reduced visibility.
