YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all but Cheyenne county Colorado this evening through the overnight hours. This is due to a combination of light freezing drizzle, light freezing rain, and dense freezing fog. Freezing rain accumulations ranging from a trace to one tenth of an inch are forecast with the highest amounts generally east of Kansas Highway 27. Visibilities in the dense freezing fog will fall to one quarter mile or less. Roadways and walkways will be hazardous, especially those that are elevated.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  A Winter Weather Advisory continues Thursday morning for all but Cheyenne county Colorado due to a combination of light freezing drizzle, light freezing rain and dense freezing fog. Roadways and walkways will be hazardous, especially those that are elevated.  Northwest winds gusting 25 to 45 mph are expected to spread across the area from west to east from mid morning Thursday through the afternoon.  Southerly winds gusting 25 to 45 mph are forecast during the day Friday with the highest gusts along and west of Kansas Highway 25.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed. We would appreciate any reports of freezing drizzle, freezing rain and dense fog with visibilities one quarter mile or less via telephone or social media.
