WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Areas of light freezing drizzle and fog are expected over portions of the northeast plains of Colorado early this morning, especially over Northern Larimer and Northern Weld counties. Roads may be slick in spots, as well as sidewalks and driveways. Use extra caution with slower travel speeds and allow plenty of distance between vehicles.  Expect scattered snow showers over the far northern mountains later this afternoon and tonight, but only light accumulations of 1 to 4 inches expected. Areas of light snow and patchy freezing drizzle will spread over the northeast plains tonight but accumulations will be under an inch. Watch out for slick roads over the plains tonight.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday  Periods of light snow will fall in the mountains throughout days 2 through 7, but snowfall amounts and travel impact will likely be minor most days. The best chance for accumulating snow over the high country will be from Friday night through Saturday with some travel impacts possible. The plains should remain dry most days. In addition, breezy to windy conditions are expected across much of the forecast area on Thursday. Wind gusts up to 55 mph will be possible across the Front Range Mountains/Foothills and plains near the Wyoming border.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today, however reports of freezing drizzle and snow amounts will be appreciated.
