...HIGH WIND WARNING FRONT RANGE MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS UNTIL NOON TUESDAY... ...WINTER STORM WATCH NORTHERN MOUNTAINS, NORTHERN FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS, AND LARIMER AND NORTHERN WELD COUNTIES LATE TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight Periods of strong winds can be expected across the Front Range Mountains and Foothills through tonight. Some decrease in the winds is expected for this afternoon and evening with gusts mainly in the 30 to 50 mph range, then stronger winds are expected again late tonight into Tuesday morning with gusts up to 80 mph. On the plains, gusty winds will spread across the I-25 Corridor and northern border area through this afternoon, but peak gusts in those locations should mostly range between 30 and 50 mph with the strongest winds favoring areas west of I-25. Light snow can be expected in the northern mountains, with a few inches of accumulation possible in the Park Range, and a couple inches in the Indian Peaks and Medicine Bow Range through tonight. Little if any accumulation will occur in the I-70 Mountain Corridor through Summit County. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday The next winter system arrives Tuesday night into Wednesday night bringing snow and cold temperatures for all areas. Areas north of I-70 will see the heaviest snow with moderate to heavy amounts possible. Areas south of I-70 may see light to moderate amounts. Wednesday PM commute will likely be the most impacted with hazardous travel expected on both I-70 and I-25. Thursday into this weekend, temperatures will increase for all areas while the plains will dry out. The mountains will continue to see a daily chance of snow. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
