This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Snowfall rates will increase to up to 1 inch per hour in the heavier snow bands this afternoon. The snow will be heaviest north of Interstate 70, in the Park and Gore Range. Travel conditions will remain hazardous today. Allow extra time for travel in the mountains or consider moving your travel to another day. This evening and overnight tonight, snow will decrease to flurries. Across the plains, a cold front will bring cooler temperatures with lows reaching the single digits to around 0 F tonight. This afternoon and evening, freezing drizzle/fog and light snow may develop. This will create slick or icy road conditions. Later in the evening and overnight, the precipitation will change to all snow with about an inch of accumulation expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday An arctic airmass will bring much colder weather for Sunday and Monday east of the mountains with a chance of light snow. Wind chill values will drop near -20 Sunday and Monday nights, and will likely remain below zero during the day Monday. In the mountains, snow will increase over the northern mountains by midday Sunday and continue into Monday. Heavy snow will be possible in the Gore and Park Ranges with lighter accumulations further south over the I-70 Mountain Corridor.
