WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight  Steady snow in the mountains, heaviest in the northern Front Range, will lead to slick conditions for mountain roads and passes. Strong winds will impacts the high terrain, foothills, and north/east plains, resulting in blowing snow and reduced visibility.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday  Heavy snow will occur over the Park Range mountains and northern Front Range mountains where up to 2 feet of snow could fall from Friday morning through Saturday evening. Lighter snow amounts of a few inches can be expected in the I-70 Mountain Corridor and Summit County. The prolonged period of snow will create hazardous travel conditions and snow-covered roads. Light snow may create periods of slick conditions in the plains Saturday evening onwards.  Exceptionally cold temperatures will impact the region beginning Sunday, lasting through at least Tuesday. Wind chill values may drop below -20 F in the plains on the coldest night(s).  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed, but snowfall reports will be appreciated.
