YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  Snow flurries and brief light snow showers are possible during the overnight hours within the region. The primary hazards will be sudden reductions in visibility under any of the showers as well as slick roadways as they quickly move from northwest to southeast. Little to no snowfall accumulation is expected. Northwest winds gusting up to 35 mph are also expected during the overnight hours, primarily along and west of Kansas Highway 25.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  An Arctic airmass will bring the potential for light snow and bitterly cold temperatures Saturday night through Tuesday night. Overnight and early morning wind chill readings between 15 below and 22 below zero are currently forecast.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not required. Please report any reductions in visibility due to snowfall to NWS Goodland.
