YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...  Tonight rain will change to snow from west to east behind a cold front. This may lead to ice forming on highways as temperatures cool below freezing. A band of snow, with rates of an inch per hour, is likely to form over Eastern Colorado and move east through the Tri- State Area. Visibility will be reduced under this band. In addition up to four inches of snow may occur in East Central Colorado, specifically Kit Carson County, by Thursday morning.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...  Snow will end from west to east Thursday morning.  Another winter weather event may impact the Tri-State Area early next week. Details are still vague, however there is a possibility for moderate impacts to occur with this upcoming storm system.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time. However snow reports are very helpful.
