This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Accumulating snow and blizzard conditions will be the primary hazards today and tonight. A band of heavier snow is likely to develop east of the I-25 Corridor spreading to around Akron and Sterling early this morning. Strong, gusty winds will also be developing. Blizzard conditions are expected for the far eastern plains and northeast corner. Winds will be strong with gusts up to 60 mph. In combination with falling/fresh snow on ground, blowing and drifting snow is likely, even after the snowfall has ended. This will result in blizzard conditions and very hazardous travel conditions. Mountain areas will see difficult travel with steady snow and increased winds for the mountains. Valley areas will have light snow but could still see icy roads in places. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Snow will continue to impact travel in the higher mountains into Wednesday and Thursday, with much lighter snow in the valleys. Winds remain higher Wednesday and Thursday for the high mountain ridges and east plains. Areas of blowing snow will be possible.
