YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...THROUGH TONIGHT...  Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...  Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are anticipated during the afternoon hours on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, portions of Colorado and areas along and south of the Interstate will be prone. On Sunday, northeast Colorado and adjacent areas in Nebraska/Kansas will be at risk.  Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are expected Monday afternoon mainly for areas along and west of Highway 27. Patchy blowing dust will also be possible Monday afternoon for areas south of the Interstate.  Monday night, a large low pressure system will begin impacting the Tri-State area. Over a period from Monday night into Wednesday, this system will bring snow to much of the area, with the most impacted locations being near the Tri-State border. Strong northwesterly winds may also lead to blowing and drifting snow.  Cold wind chill readings will impact the area next week, with negative single numbers expected from Wednesday night onward.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotters are encouraged to monitor the forecast for the upcoming storm system next week.
