WASHINGTON COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight  Strong winds will continue in the mountains and foothills, and plains today. High Wind Warnings remain in effect until this evening, with gusts up to 75 mph possible. Blowing dust is also expected across portions of Lincoln and Elbert counties, and visibilities may be reduced to less than a quarter mile at times. Winds will gradually weaken this evening.  In the high country, snow will continue through the day, ending from northwest to southeast during the afternoon hours. The combination of snow and blowing snow will lead to difficult travel across the mountains. Storm total snowfall will range from 4 to 10 inches, with higher totals possible across the Park Range. Snow will end by the evening, though areas of blowing snow will continue into the overnight hours.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday  A few weak systems will move across the area this weekend and early next week. The best chance for precipitation will come Monday into early Tuesday. Light snowfall is possible across the mountains, with a chance of rain and snow showers for the plains.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. However, any reports of high winds will be appreciated.
