YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY...  A brief period of elevated to near critical fire weather conditions is expected for a limited portion of the area this afternoon, mainly in Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties in Colorado. Caution should be used if burning outdoors.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...  Tuesday, a system will move through the area bringing light snow to the area and gusty winds around 25-35 mph. With the snow and gusty winds, blowing snow is likely and could reduce visibility below a mile. With the decreased visibility and light snow accumulations travel may be hazardous, especially during the morning hours when the snow is expected to fall.  Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, wind chills are expected to drop into the negative single digits with some locales near the Tri- State border reaching -10.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated, however any snow reports are appreciated!
