YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TONIGHT...  Patchy dense fog is possible overnight across western portions of Kit carson, Cheyenne and Yuma counties in Colorado. Visibility may drop to 1 mile or less at times, impacting travel.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...  Elevated to Near Critical fire weather conditions are expected for a few hours Monday afternoon across Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties in Colorado. Caution should be used if burning outdoors.  On Tuesday, much colder air will settle over the area along with north winds gusting in the 25 to 35 mph range. Additionally, light snow is likely during the day for those along and north of Interstate 70 with decreasing chances to the south. At this time, snowfall accumulations along and north of the Interstate will range from one half to two inches with locally higher amounts possible. To the south, amounts will be zero to under one half inch. The combination of gusty north winds and the expected snowfall will likely produce some blowing snow and reduced visibilities for those along and north of Interstate 70.  Wind chill readings Tuesday night through Wednesday morning are expected to drop into the zero to 10 below zero range.  Elevated to Near Critical fire weather conditions are possible Friday afternoon along and west of a line from Wray to Goodland and Leoti.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
