YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY...  Elevated to Near-Critical fire weather conditions are possible this afternoon for the majority of the area. Caution should be used if burning outdoors.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...  Elevated to Near-Critical fire weather conditions will continue Friday and Saturday afternoons.  Sunday continues to show potential for a high impact weather day. West-southwesterly winds gusting up to 55 mph are expected. Critical fire weather concerns exist along with the potential for blowing dust which could lower visibility. A wind shift to the northwest is expected with cold front passage Sunday night. Confidence in this forecast is low to medium at this time.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...  Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.
