YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...TODAY... A Red Flag Warning is in effect from noon MDT to 6 PM MDT for critical fire weather conditions across all of far eastern Colorado and including Dundy, Cheyenne county Kansas, Sherman and Wallace counties. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY... Elevated fire weather conditions will continue for the majority of the area each afternoon from Thursday through Saturday. On Sunday, we continue to monitor the potential for a significant weather day. Presently, west to southwest winds will gust up to 45 mph. The strong winds and low relative humidity will create near critical fire weather conditions across the entire Tri-State area. Additionally, there is a threat for blowing dust that would create reduced visibilities and poor air quality. Confidence is low in the exact track and timing of this system impacting the area. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be required.
