This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight The northeast corner of Colorado, east of Sterling, Akron, and Limon, will have areas of fog in the early part of the morning with visibility down to as low as a quarter mile. By this afternoon, warm dry air and winds gusting up to around 25 mph will create elevated fire weather conditions. Isolated thunderstorms are expected in the mountains south of Interstate 70 this afternoon. Brief heavy rain and wind gusts to 40 mph are possible with these storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Tuesday, hot and dry weather will persist with elevated fire weather conditions across the plains. Critical conditions are not currently expected, and would be limited in coverage and duration. Wednesday and Thursday, widespread showers and storms could produce some areas of heavy rainfall in the mountains and there is a limited threat of burn area flash flooding.
