YUMA COUNTY HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

 This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.  .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...  Southerly winds will strengthen during the day. Sustained winds ranging from 25 to 35 mph and gusts up to 45 mph are expected. Wind of this magnitude may create difficult travel conditions for high- profile vehicles, especially on east-west highways such as Interstate 70, where cross winds will be strongest.  The gusty winds will lead to near critical fire weather conditions this afternoon.  .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...  Friday strong to severe thunderstorms may occur over the northern part of the Tri-State Area.  Fire danger will increase again across the area towards the beginning of the week as warm, dry and breezy conditions are expected.  .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
